Healthcare professions are in trend: holistic health therapists are in big demand
Our health school Prävensana trains future therapists in the health professions at four locations: Chur, Rapperswil, Zurich and Berne, with great enthusiasm and expertise.
The courses offered range from fitness, nutrition, massage, naturopathy and basic medicine to psychosocial and mental health.
Not only are we convinced of the potential of our courses, but numerous studies and surveys show that more and more people are turning to alternative and complementary healing methods, often as a supplement to conventional medicine.
Some of the factors that have contributed to this increase are:
- Growing health awareness: More and more people are placing importance on a healthy lifestyle and are looking for holistic approaches to health promotion.
- Increasing acceptance: Complementary medicine is increasingly accepted in society, including in medical circles. Many doctors recommend complementary therapies to support conventional treatment..
- Access to information: Thanks to the internet and social media, patients have easier access to information about alternative healing methods, which is increasing interest.
- Demographic change: Older people, who often have chronic illnesses, tend to try alternative therapies to improve their quality of life.
Healthcare professions not only offer a wide range of career opportunities, but also the chance to have a positive impact on people’s lives.
In addition, healthcare professions are often crisis-proof. During economic uncertainties, the need for therapists remains constant.
Prävensana celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2025 and continues to put as much heart, mind and commitment into developing the school and its courses, keeping them practical and in tune with trends & scientific findings as it did on the first day.
